La estepa comienza a despertar con la llegada de las temperaturas suaves y las lluvias primaverales. Comienza a florecer el romero que cubre de tonos azules y violetas las lomas en las que crece.
FAUNA: Perdices, terreras, calandrias, alondra de dupont, alcaraván y otras especies de aves esteparias habitualmente poco conspicuas, se dejan oír, y tal vez, ver, entre la ontina, el albardín o las plantas gipsófilas. Para evitar alteraciones a las puestas, durante el período reproductor de las aves, cesa el aprovechamiento de los pastos.
