Las grullas han comenzado a llegar masivamente, desde sus áreas de cría en el norte de Europa. Ahora hay en la cuenca de Gallocanta unas 50.000 grullas, más de la mitad de toda la población europea occidental de estas aves. La mayoría abandonará pronto la laguna con destino a las dehesas de Extremadura, donde pasarán el invierno.
El Centro de Interpretación de la Laguna de Gallocanta, en la carretera entre Tornos y Bello, estará abierto todos los días del mes de noviembre. Exhibe una colección de paneles y otros elementos explicativos del medio natural y humano de la laguna y de su cuenca, y cuenta con la información que ofrecen los monitores.
Para visitar los alrededores de la laguna es necesario solicitar previamente una autorización a la Dirección General del Medio Natural, del Gobierno de Aragón, enviando los siguientes datos: Nombre, Dirección, teléfono y DNI del solicitante. Fechas de la visita. Número de personas que participarán.
