El tiempo frío propicia precipitaciones en forma de nieve, que es la protagonista del paisaje. Deben tenerse en cuenta las peligrosas formaciones de hielo que dificultan la accesibilidad al parque.
En este terreno y en los intervalos de buen tiempo asoman las hojas del heléboro y, en las zonas encharcadas, del berro. Ahora es cuando se dispersan las semillas del pino piñonero y del abeto y cuando abunda el fruto de las clemátides.
Al compás de los cambios bruscos de tiempo se producen pequeñas migraciones interiores de pájaros como la lavandera blanca. Ha finalizado el celo del sarrio, mientras comienza ahora el ciclo de reproducción del quebrantahuesos, de los que se ha visto un grupo de cinco ejemplares inmaduros en la zona central del parque.
