Nature, culture and knowledge are waiting for you, because the purest essence of adventure resides in the intimate communion between Man and Nature, without intermediaries.

The adventure of walking

In Aragon, a simple walk can also be an adventure for a person with an alert mind, curious and eager for knowledge.

The unexpected and the unknown assault us at every step: surprising forests, rare vision animals, unusual landscapes, relics of the past, colors, smells ... Whether they are marked trails or old paths of ancient use, there are multiple ways to travel them in any time of the year.

Trekking

Also known by the English term trekking.

In Aragon there are numerous trails marked as Great and Small Route (G.R. and P.R.) with their own topographies, but also infinity of kilometers of more or less used roads that allow the walker to walk freely and without great physical demands.

Everyone can choose their route, through the high Pyrenean mountains, through the endless mountain ranges of Teruel, or through the unusual steppes of the Ebro valley.

And as varied as the routes are the activities that can be carried out on them: from the simple contemplation of the landscape to the most advanced hiking (always respecting the limitations and prohibitions of camping, fires and discharges), including bird watching, photography, etc.

Horseback riding

Many of these roads are near one of the equestrian centers, from which it is possible to exercise this beautiful sport and enjoy the noble company of a horse in the midst of its natural environment.

Mountain bike

Without the annoying noise or the wild destruction of the terrain typical of motorized vehicles, this sport allows you to exercise and travel long routes as far as our own strength can endure, but always respecting the rest of our fellow travelers, such as hikers or hikers. It is advisable to be sufficiently equipped and plan the route with the help of a map. This sport is also known as all-terrain bicycle (BTT) or mountain-bike.

Dog sled ride

When the trails are covered in snow in the high mountains, it is possible to travel them on dog sleds. This sport specialty, also known as mushing, can also be practiced with cars on roads and dirt trails at other times of the year. For courses and outings, you can request the phone number of the mushing clubs in the Aragonese Mountaineering Federation. +34 976227971.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR YOUR STAY IN NATURE

  1. Neither leave nor bury the garbage. Take it to where there is a pick up service.
  2. Beware of fire. In some places you should never do it, in others there are appropriate places. Always turn off the embers and never throw cigarette butts, either from the car or walking.
  3. Close the gates, gates, bars, cabin doors ... etc., that you are in the countryside. This prevents livestock or other animals from entering or leaving.
  4. Always cross the farmland along the paths. Never step on the sown ones.
  5. Dogs should, as a rule, be tied so that they do not disturb or frighten cattle or free animals.
  6. Respect and care for water sources and courses.
  7. Do not turn nature into a workshop, changing the oil or washing the car in any ditch.
  8. If you are a joker and drive on a track, drive slowly, because in any corner you can find walkers or cattle.
  9. In short and in summary:
PROCEDURE NOT TO PRINT YOUR FOOTPRINT WHERE THE CENTURIES HAVE REFUSED TO DO IT
